Snacks / Drivers / Boosters Meeting & ConcessionsMENS VARSITY TENNIS 2014 |
If you are signed up for an event, you are responsible for doing the assigned duty. When you cannot make a committement for any reason, contact a parent to cover for you. Consider taking one of their responsibilities at a later point.
1. Snacks (will be listed in black) For each match and tournament, we provide snacks for the players. Two parents will sign up for each duel, and four parents will sign up for day long events. Generally this means something to drink (usually a sports drink) and something to eat (usually granola bars, fruit, maybe cookies or something like that) for the players and coaches. We never have to provide for the other school though, so 14 or 15 of each is plenty. For the big events (Conferences, Regionals, and States, we will bring double the food to make sure we are set for the day) 2. Drivers (will be listed in blue) I don't assign drivers, but rather take volunteers. This is one of the things that causes the most anxiety for me each year as a coach. The earlier and more often you can volunteer to drive, the more I appreciate it. And trust me, I appreciate it a great deal. 3. Booster Meetings and Concessions (will be listed in red) This year we have far better practice balls than usual. This is because we bought them with booster funds. We have more carts to put them in. We have a variety of different supplies to help develop young players. We have this because of the boosters. If we don't show up, we lose a significant portion of our money. |
