The WO JV girls are back in action and off to a good start.  Weather is starting to look up.  Here are the results through the first quarter of the season.

Grand Rapids Christian won 8-6 in our first dual.
WO beat East Grand Rapids 15-0 in our second dual.  EGR is defending Varsity State champs, so this is a great win.
Hudsonville beat WO  10-6
WO beat FHC 4-3
WO beat EK 12-3
WO beat Grand Haven 11-4

Saturday 4 team Tourney Results:
WO finished in 2nd place by 1 match to the winner Hudsonville:  Congrats to all the girls on  a great tourney
Champions in their flight were:  6 doubles:  Anna VanKampen and Hannah Sarli   5 doubles:  Avery Warsaw and Emily Grant.
Both 3 and 4 doubles went 2-1 to finish second:  3 doubles:  Anna Warsaw and Ella Stoel.  4 doubles:  Hannah Daniel and Delaney Overman.
2 doubles Megan McCormick and Piper Kramer notched a victory and went 1-2.
1 doubles Faith Mask and Claire Dorn played 3 competitive matches.

2018 West Ottawa Tennis - JV Girls Tennis Practice Plans

We will practice outside if it is 43+ degrees, wind chill above 32 degrees, and the Courts are dry.  We will not practice outside if it is raining.  Over the next couple weeks until Spring Break, I am excited to have secured  limited indoor courts at MVP Athletic Club and we will have practice inside at MVP 3 days a week  if we can't go outside.

I want to congratulate you all on another great performance on the courts.  Now I see why they were running late for the match yesterday. J  We beat Rockford 7-4
We had a lot of great matches, I was most impressed with our teams ability to adjust during matches to make several comeback wins and several we simply just dominated matches with consistent play.
 
Also, I didn’t post the East Kentwood match due but we won every single match that was played on Monday.  So all 36 girls WON.  Awesome work team.

The JV Panther's are roaring to start the season.  With the latest victory in Grandville, they have moved to 4-0 on this young season.  Great job girls, it is great to see all the practice pay off on the courts.  Some great things we are seeing early in the season are  Great Teamwork, Attitudes, Sportsmanship, and simply "Having tons of fun on the court with eachother.
