Comments-All in All a very good showing by our team. Most wins were decisive and dominating and those are good wins because playing to YOUR level and not down to your opponents level is the CORRECT mindset to have and shows MENTAL TOUGHNESS. A couple flights were closer score wise. Josh had a tough opponent at 2 Singles but outlasted him with quality placed shots when they mattered the most. Zack and Tanner were blindsided in their first set and lost decisively but they weren't afraid and put set 1 behind them. They roared back to win the second set convincingly and put it in another gear to win the "dreaded" 10 point Super Tuebreaker 10-5. Comeback wins are important too. This shows the mindset of NOT GIVING UP and NOT accepting defeat or QUITING. Congrats also to Blake for winning a game against Noah and also he had 1 game that had 5 deuces. MORAL VICTORIES are VERY IMPORTANT too. Sometimes chipping away at goals are important. First a point, then a game, then a set, then winning a match in that order. These things are recognized by a coach and not taken for granted. Lastly congrats to Brayden and Alex with both winning their first official Middle School tennis matches!! Great job ALL of you! See you next Monday. Coach Dykens
