Congrats to the swim team on crushing against Rockford last night. Last night was my first time I was able to get out to watch the boys swim, and they are fantastic. Reagan, Derek, Sam, and Christian, you guys are doing a fantastic job, keep it up! I apologize if I'm missing any other tennis players/swimmers in this post. If I am, a huge shout out to you too!! All of you are noticeably physically stronger than when the season ended, so swimming is definitely only going to help your tennis game. Good luck as the Conference tournament and State Meet approaches. You guys are going to do great. Also, a shout out to Coach Bowyer. It was fun watching you and seeing the great job you do preparing the athletes. You are a tremendous coach.

Over the past few months, Michigan Tech's coach has been in contact to gauge Taylers potential interest in his program. Before the Christmas holidays, Tayler took an unofficial visit to Tech, where he met the coach and got an opportunity to play some of Michigan Tech's players. Tayler did very well on his visit, and Tech's coach recently made an offer for Tayler to play for Michigan Tech next fall. Spring is the signing period for tennis, so Tayler will have a signing day at West Ottawa in the next couple months. I'll keep you posted when I learn the date for those who wish to attend.
If you see Tayler, be sure to congratulate him. He worked very hard over the past year to improve as much as possible for his senior year, and it has definitely paid off. Tayler had a great senior season, and will now be able to extend that career four more years playing Division 2 Tennis in the GLIAC. Congratulations to Tayler and the Bethke family! |
