Time flies, so let's start thinking about boys tennis:) If you are going to be in high school, click the button at the top of this page to sign up for the team ASAP. This helps me plan for Fall. Also, we will start hitting together informally NEXT WEEK MONDAY. Here are the details:
Where: High School North Tennis Courts
Who: High School and Middle School Boys
When: Monday nights from 6:00-8:00 PM
What: Singles and doubles matchplay.
Who is leading it: Coach Schwallier (varsity coach), Nick Schnobel (Varsity Team Captain), and Mark VanderStoep (Varsity Team Captain)
Dates: July 7, 14, 21, 28, and August 4
Cost: Free
But what if I'm a middle school student and am planning on playing another sport? So what, if it sounds like fun to come and play, come on out.
Why have the middle school players hit with the high school players? Because I've seen them and they are good!!!
Is this mandatory? Definitely not, but if your alternative is sitting around, I expect to see you there!!! The more everyone comes, the more fun we have and the better we get, so make efforts to attend.
How can I help? I didn't get the email addresses for some of the Mac Bay boys. If you know them, please forward this message to their parents. I would feel bad if someone wanted to come, but didn't receive the information.
Also, there's a tennis tournament at Hope College next weekend. If you are a member of the USTA and you want to play, CLICK HERE to register. The tournament 2 weeks ago drew 19 West Ottawa players. It's likely that there will be more than that next weekend. One way or another, just keep playing lots of tennis and be active every single day...life is too short to sit around:)
