2. Ann Arbor Invitational - This is our most difficult event of the year. We finished 9-12 on the day in total matches. This is an 8-team tournament. Joe Miller medaled for us, taking 3rd place. Adam Dykens and Travis Bethke also held the distinction of winning 2 matches, finishing the day with a winning record.
3. Okemos Quad - The name is deceiving, because Okemos is the one school we didn't end up playing. It rained before we finished, but we did get two matches in. We first played Holly, beating them 8-0. However, that's not even the best part. In our match with Midland Dow, we played them to 3-5. Winning on the day were Nick Schnobel, Nick Govert, Austin Barajas, Hugh Davis, and Kyle Maas. Actually, though, it's even better than that. Justin Anair and Dominic Aquino beat their 5th doubles team 8-5, so really, it was 4-5. This is cool for many reasons. First, it's the best we've ever done with Midland Dow. Second, it shows that our doubles have the ability to carry the load when needed, even against the best teams in Michigan.
Currently I'm still waiting on official results from Ann Arbor and Okemos. When they arrive, I will post the scores on the site for you to check out!
